Union Family Eye Care in Lincroft, NJ hosted their first ever food drive from October 1-November 30. Patients, staff, and the local community were encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items to the Union Family Eye Care office, and together they were able to collect 55 pounds of food, which will provide 45 meals for their neighbors in need.
Lowy’s Moving Service, a Wheaton agent, volunteered its time and resources to pick up and deliver the collections to The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
With over 1 million people, including 1 in 9 children, struggling with food insecurity in New Jersey, efforts like these make a big difference! Thank you Union Family Eye Care and Lowy's Moving Service for your commitment to fighting hunger in the Garden State!
You can host a food drive in your hometown. Let's get started!
