Richard ‘Rick’ Zanon, founder of Universal Services Relocation & Logistics Management in Lannon, WI, dedicated his life to serving his community. A beloved husband and father, Rick began his lifelong dedication to meeting the needs of seniors as they transitioned into Senior Living Communities. As his business prospered, his passions to serve the elders of the community did as well. He expanded his business to include Senior Day Trips with Universal Transportation. Though Rick passed away from pancreatic cancer at age 59, his compassion, benevolence, and charity have left a legacy that will last forever.
From January 9-30 Universal Service Relocation & Logistics Management hosted their third annual Rick Zanon Memorial Food Drive. The moving company partnered with local senior moving companies to collect non-perishable food items.
This year's event was by far the most successful to date, as more than 950 pounds of food were collected. That's nearly 2x as much as last year, and is enough food to provide approximately 800 meals to their neighbors in need. All of the donations were delivered to Feeding America of Eastern Wisconsin.
There are over 31,000 people, including 1 in 7 children, who are affected by food insecurity in Waukesha County. Thank you to the generous staff at Universal Services Relocation & Logistic Management for having such a positive impact on their community in honor of Rick's memory.
Anyone can host a food drive. We can help!
