Our country’s finest faced-off for a second annual food drive collection competition at North Carolina State University. The men and women of NC State’s Army, Navy, and Airforce ROTC programs helped raise awareness about food insecurity in their home state and also collected non-perishable goods for 2 weeks during the month of November.
Together they collected more than 70 pounds of food - that's enough to provide 60 meals for people struggling with food insecurity in their community.
Many thanks to Excel Moving and Storage of Raleigh, an agent of Allied Van Lines, for their generous support with supplies and for delivering all of the donations to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.
There are over 1.7 million people in North Carolina who face hunger each day, including 1 in 4 children. Thank you to NC State's ROTC, Excel Moving and Storage, and everyone who made a donation for working to change those statistics!
