Monmouth University's First Year Service Club held another food drive from April 12-26 to help fight hunger at in New Jersey. Students were encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to the student center. More than 200 pounds of food was collected, enough to provide 175 meals for their neighbors in need!
Lowy's Moving Service, a Wheaton agent, generously provided supplies for the food drive and volunteered to deliver all donations to The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. There are nearly 1 million people, including 1 in 7 children, who struggle with food insecurity in the state of NJ. Many thanks to Monmouth's First Year Service Club for the continued efforts to fight hunger in their community!
