West Haven, CT, resident, Joseph Cataldo hosted a "Fill-A-Truck" food drive on December 10 at the New Life Evangelical Free Church.
Our friends at Lippincott Van Lines had one of their trucks parked outside of the church. Congregants and other members of the local community were challenged to fill the truck with non-perishable food items.
By the end of the day, more than 60 pounds of food has been loaded onto the vehicle, enough to provide 50 meals for their neighbors in need. Lippincott Van Lines delivered all of the donations to the Connecticut Food Bank.
Nearly 500,000 people, including 1 in 6 children, in Connecticut face hunger each day. Many thanks to Joseph and the Lippincott Van Lines crew for making a difference in their community this holiday season.
Anyone can host a food drive. We can help!
