The Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) club at Valley High School in West Des Moines, IA held a food drive from October 26 - November 16. The students urged their community to donate non-perishable food items to help the nearly 385,000 people, including 1 in 6 children, in Iowa who face hunger each day.
The HOSA Club was able to collect nearly 150 pounds of food for their neighbors in need! That's more than 120 meals that will be served to local families in need.
Prairie Van & St
orage, an Atlas agent, made this food drive possible by generously donating their time and resources. Their crew played a vital role in getting the food to the Lutheran Church of Hope in time for Thanksgiving.
Thank you to the HOSA club at Valley High School and Prairie Van & Storage for making a difference this holiday season.
