Gentle Giant Moving Company of Franklin, Massachusetts made it their mission to participate in Hunger Action Month, so they hosted a Fill-A-Truck food drive to collect non-perishable goods on September 9.
A Gentle Giant moving truck was parked outside of the Market Basket supermarket. This event was a complete success, to say the least! Gentle Giant collected more than 760 pounds of food, which translates to 635 meals. The collected food was then transported to The Greater Boston Food Bank.
Nearly 750,000 people in Massachusetts are food insecure, including 1 in 7 children.
