Ganguly’s Mixed Martial Arts in Ocean Township, NJ hosted their fifth annual food drive last month. This year’s collection took place throughout September to coincide with Hunger Action Month.
Ganguly’s was able to collect over 200 pounds of food this year- that's the equivalent of 175 meals for our New Jersey neighbors in need! Lowy’s Moving Service, a Wheaton agent, once again provided boxes for the collection and also volunteered to deliver the donations to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
Since 2013, Ganguly's has donated a grand total of 1,100 pounds of food - that's 915 meals for people struggling with food insecurity in our community.
There are still nearly 120,000 people who face hunger in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, including one in six children. Thank you to Ganguly’s and Lowy's Moving Service for your continued support of our fight to end hunger in New Jersey and across the United States.
