The staff and students of Broken Arrow School District have completed their 4th annual food drive! From March 21st to 25th, students and staff were encouraged to donate nonperishable items.
This year, over 11,000 pounds of food were donated to Broken Arrow Neighbors, a group that provides Assistance with Dignity to their patrons, including medical services, access to their food pantry, and legal aide!
Thanks to Accent Moving and Storage of Oklahoma, the school district was provided with boxes and food transportation to the food bank! Nearly 17% of residents in Tulsa County, Oklahoma suffer from food insecurity, so this donation of 9,500 meals to the community means a lot.
The Broken Arrow School District, along with the help of Accent, has become the top contributor for BA Neighbors! What an amazing accomplishment!
In the past four years, Broken Arrow has donated nearly 80,000 pounds of food, or 66,000 meals, to their community. The team at Move For Hunger would like to thank and congratulate you on your success!
If you are interested in giving back to your own community, host your own food drive.
