On April 22, Rock City Crossfit in North Little Rock, AR partnered with Move For Hunger to host a food drive during their Rock City Crossfit USS Arkansas Strongest Man & Woman event. All ticket proceeds were donated to Move For Hunger to help us to continue our fight against hunger in Arkansas and across the United States.
A food drive was also held in conjunction with the event. Attendees were encouraged to bring donations of non-perishable food items, like tuna fish, peanut butter, canned goods, and pasta. When all was said and done, a grand total of 240 pounds of food was collected - which will provide 200 meals for their neighbors in need!
Our friends from Brandon Moving and Storage, a Bekins agent, generously volunteered to deliver all of the donations to the local food pantry.
There are nearly 550,000 people, including 1 in 4 children, in Arkansas facing food insecurity. Many thanks to Rock City Crossfit and Brandon Moving & Storage for taking the initiative to fight hunger in their community!
Want to host a food drive of your own? We can help!
