The Bearded Barber of Scotch Plains NJ, recently hosted their second-annual holiday food drive. Customers, employees, and the local community were encouraged to donate non-perishable food items, such as canned vegetables, pasta, and cranberry sauce. Together they were able to collect about 120 pounds of food - that's enough to provide 100 meals for their neighbors in need!
University Van Lines, an Atlas agent, provided boxes for the event and delivered all of the donations to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.
There are over 1 million people facing hunger in New Jersey, including 1 in 6 children. Thank you University Van Lines and The Bearded Barber for helping us in the fight against hunger!
