From November 1-18 AVE, a leading corporate housing provider, held a Thanksgiving food drive at all seven of their locations in New Jersey and suburban Philadelphia. At each location, residents were encouraged to donate non-perishable, Thanksgiving-themed food items, such as stuffing, instant potatoes, canned fruits/vegetables, and gravy to help provide holiday meals for their neighbors in need.
Thanks to the generosity of the employees and residents, the AVE locations were able to collect nearly 1,000 pounds of food. That equates to over 830 meals for their neighbors in need! When you add in the 1,200 pounds of food the AVE locations brought in during their Hunger Action Month food drive, they've collected close to 2,000 meals in the past 3 months alone!
Crown Relocations
of New York volunteered to deliver the donations from three of the locations to the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Two Men and a Truck picked up the collections from the other four locations and brought the food to the Salvation Army of Westchester.
There are nearly 50 million Americans who face hunger each day. Thank you to AVE, Crown Relocations, and Two Men and Truck for continuously helping to create awareness of this problem and actively working to fight hunger in the communities you serve.
Anyone can host a food drive. We can help!
