The seventh annual
Stopping Childhood Hunger One Backpack at a Time food drive took place throughout April, and it was a huge success! Lauryn Hinckley, a high school student from Bismarck, ND, shared her vision, and in a few short weeks, local schools and
Starion Financial branches were able to collect more than
7,700 pounds of peanut butter and jelly!

All of the donations were delivered to
Missouri Slope Areawide United Way, courtesy of
Jobbers Moving & Storage. The event concluded with a food sorting party to support the United Way's Backpack Program, which helps provide meals to students on weekends and during breaks.
Nearly 60,000 people, including 1 in 9 children, in North Dakota are food insecure. Thank you to Lauryn and everyone at Jobbers Moving & Storage for your commitment to fighting hunger in your community!
