A 12-year old boy from Ohio hosted a holiday food drive in December as part of his community service project. This youngster placed collection bins throughout his neighborhood. Each day, he and his friends/family went around and collected whatever food had been donated. They then personally delivered all of the donations to Freestore Foodbank.
Because of his efforts, he was able to collect 120 pounds of food! That equates to 100 meals for local families in need!
Nearly 95,000 people, including 1 in 5 children, in the Greater Cincinnati region face hunger each day. A big thank you to Dylan for helping your neighbors during the holiday season!
