Monmouth University's incoming class of 2021 did their part to fight hunger by collecting nearly 200 pounds of food - which equates to 160 meals - for their neighbors in need.
New Student Orientation took place from June 25-July 20. The incoming students were encouraged to bring non-perishable items, such as peanut butter, tuna fish, canned soups, rice, pasta, and beans, to help fight summer hunger in Monmouth County.
Lowy’s Moving Service, a Wheaton agent, donated their time and resources to transport the donations from Monmouth University's campus to Fulfill.
More than 56,000 people in Monmouth County are struggling with food insecurity, including 1 in 8 children. Thank you to Monmouth University, all of the students who donated, and our friends at Lowy's Moving Service for making a difference this summer!
