CORT Orlando is back! What better way to celebrate its grand re-opening than by doing something to make a positive difference in the communities they serve?
We partnered with the furniture outlet to hold a food drive from January 23-January 27 while the company showcased their newly renovated showroom! Guests enjoyed refreshments from local food trucks and had the chance to win fun giveaways. Those who attended the celebration were encouraged to participate in a food drive by donating non-perishable canned goods.
In just four days, nearly 400 lbs. of food was collected, which is enough to provide 330 meals to local families in need!
Our friends at Beltmann Relocation Group of Orlando generously provided collection boxes for the food drive. At the conclusion of the event, CORT volunteered to personally deliver the donations to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, which works with 550 feeding partners in Central Florida. More than 631,000 people, including 1 in 5 children, are food secure in Central Florida!
