Move For Hunger awarded Steven Fisk at Slidell Moving & Storage and the Slidell Police Department with a Hunger Fighting Hero Award to honor their commitment to fighting hunger in their community.
For a second year, community members of Slidell joined forces with the Slidell 
Police Department and Slidell Moving & Storage to collect non perishable food items to be donated to the local food bank. Move For Hunger is proud to say that over the course of five days, the food drive brought in 956 pounds of food which will feed nearly 800 people in need.
After the food drive was complete, Slidell Moving & Storage with Allied Van Lines transported the donations to the First Baptist Church Food Pantry in loving memory of Robyn Rohr.
