Throughout the month of November, Redfin wanted to show their clients how much they appreciated their clients! And Redfin did it in our favorite way-a food drive!
Collaborating with Move For Hunger, the team at Redfin in Seattle hosted two food drive events. The first event was on November 15th at the Historic 1625 Tacoma Place restaurant in Tacoma, WA. On November 21st, Redfin set up shop once more at the Heathman Hotel in Kirkland, WA. After both events ended, Redfin had collected a total of 550 pounds! That equals over 458 meals for those facing food insecurity in the community.
Lincoln Moving & Storage of Kent, WA, generously provided the supplies and transportation that made this event such a success. By the end of the events, Lincoln Moving & Storage delivered the collection of food to the Northwest Harvest in Kings County.
Move For Hunger would like to extend both a huge congratulations and thank you to Redfin in Seattle, Lincoln Moving & Storage, and all those who were involved with this event. With Kings County having over 264,000 of their residents struggling with food insecurity each day, and nearly 1 in 5 children unsure of where and when their next meal will come, it is imperative that everybody follows the precedent set forth by this event.
