Who said that you couldn't have fun and get fit while helping fight hunger?
That's exactly what Planet Granite gyms of Belmont, San Francisco and Sunnyvale did. Their rock climbing, yoga and fitness centers held a food drive throughout March.
Together, Planet Granite collected 144 pounds of food. This will provide 120 meals to those in need.
Bekins Van Lines agents AMS Relocation Inc. & A and P Moving Inc. transported donations from the Belmont and San Francisco stores, while Silicon Valley Moving & Storage transported the donations from the Sunnyvale location. All proceeds were donated to local food banks.
Did you know that one in six Californians are unsure of where their next meal will come from? For children, one in four live in food insecure homes.
