This holiday season was extra special for the Peter Muhlenberg Middle School students and staff. Empowered by the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Ms. Faith Dellinger and the Peter Muhlenberg Middle School felt motivated to host a food drive event.
Peter Muhlenberg Middle School of Woodstock, VA, the FCCLA, and Move For Hunger all collaborated to set the drives into motion by November 23rd. By the 1st of January, the middle school had collected 321 pounds of food! This amount is equal to about 268 meals for those in need in the community! 
In order to make this event possible, Ms. Eleese Elliot and her team at Mover Dudes of Winchester, VA generously provided the necessary supplies and transportation. At the close of the event, Mover Dudes delivered the collection of food to the Congregational Community Action Project (CCAP) to benefit Winchester and the neighboring communities.
In Winchester County, 13.4% of the population is food insecure, including 1,220 children. The most effective way to beat this statistic and work towards a hunger-free tomorrow is by teaching these values today! Move For Hunger would like to applaud Peter Muhlenberg Middle School and the FCCLA for providing children with the means to help their community and investing in a future filled with a selfless mindset. Additionally, Move For Hunger would like to extend a huge deal of appreciation to Mover Dudes for their selfless efforts and incredible enthusiasm in aiding the fight against hunger.
