Perfect 10 Miler, the nations largest all women 10 mile race, held a food drive at the registration tent during their October 24th race at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, New Jersey. Racers and supporters alike came to donate food to make a difference in food insecurity rates in their community. Almost 12% of Mercer County residents face food insecurity, including about 15.6% of children. With the help of Simonik Transportation & Warehousing Group, an agent of Allied Van Lines, 192 pounds of food was donated to the St. Vincent DePaul food bank of Medford, NJ, equating to about 160 meals.
Everyone at Move For Hunger would like to extend a sincere "thank you" to the Perfect 10 Miler and Simonik Transportation & Warehousing Group, an agent of Allied, for making strides against food insecurity!
