Oklahoma City Community College’s Child Development Center and Lab School hosted a food drive from November 7-18 to teach young children about sharing, helping others, and being thankful for having plenty of food.
OCCC and the children worked together to collect 180 pounds of food. That's enough to provide 150 meals for the nearly 368,000 people, including 1 in 5 children, in the greater Oklahoma City area that face hunger each day.
Emrick’s Van & Storage of Oklahoma City generously provided boxes for the food drive and volunteered to deliver the donations to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
Thank you to the OCCC Child Development Center and Lab School for setting such a wonderful example for the next generation, and to Emrick’s Van & Storage for their continued support of our fight to end hunger.
