Oakwood Worldwide hosted a food drive at their booth during CHPA's Annual Conference from February 27-March 1 at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach, California.
This year, Oakwood Worldwide employees decided to hold a food drive at the conference - and went above and beyond collecting a few boxes of canned goods.
Oakwood Worldwide brought their own non-perishable items to the conference, along with a stack of blank labels. Attendees were asked to stop by Oakwood's booth and write or design their own encouraging messages on the labels, which were then placed on the packages before they were delivered to the food bank. More than 250 pounds of food was donated - enough to provide 200 meals.
Our friends from Crown Relocations of Los Angeles helped make the food drive possible by volunteering to deliver all of the donations to the Orange County Food Bank.
There are over 335,000 people struggling with food insecurity in Orange County, including 1 in 5 children. Thank you to Oakwood Worldwide, CHPA, and Crown Relocations of Los Angeles for reminding us that, although there is no cost for kindess, it can go a long way.
