Each month, we highlight one of the moving companies in our network for their extraordinary commitment to fighting hunger in their community. We are excited to announce that Liffey Van Lines is our Mover of the Month for November, 2016!
In November, Move For Hunger had more people volunteer to host food drives than in any month of our 7-year history. Danny, Kieran, and the rest of the team at Liffey Van Lines went above and beyond to assist with several drives we were planning in New York City. Despite short notice and an already busy schedule, Liffey agreed to help out every time we asked. Because of their support, for example, the employees at Bitly were able to collect 250 pounds of food - more than 200 meals - during their second annual holiday food drive.
Since joining the program five years ago, Liffey Van Lines has delivered more than 2,100 pounds of food - that's over 1,800 meals - to the New York Common Pantry.
