Every month we like to recognize a multi-family property doing some amazing work in their local community. For November, we’re excited to announce The Arbors at East Cobb are our Community of the Month!
Located in Marietta, Georgia, the Greystar property hosted a Food-a-Thon throughout the month of October and into early November. Their residents donated a whopping 540 lbs of food (450 meals). The Arbors at East Cobb were just 1 of 46 Greystar Southeast properties that participated. The entire campaign brought in nearly 8,000 lbs of food (6,500 meals).
All of the food was transported to the Atlanta Community Food Bank by our amazing friends at CORT Furniture. The Atlanta Community Food Bank serves over 600,000 in the Greater Atlanta metro area. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, it’s anticipated that the number of food-insecure individuals is expected to rise by 50% which would put the food bank at close to 1 million people.
We’re thankful for The Arbors at East Cobb’s impact as well as all of the communities that participated in the Food-a-Thon. The food delivered will take a small bite out of hunger this holiday season.
