Move For Hunger recently had the opportunity to share its mission at the Michigan Movers Association Conference. One of the moving companies at the conference was ProfessionalMovers.com, a Wheaton agent. After hearing about past food drives, they were inspired to join the fight against hunger. They decided to partner with St. Patrick Catholic School in White Lake to host a food drive from January 23 to February 1. In a little over one week, students and faculty were able to collect more than 8,200 pounds of non-perishable food, enough to provide 6,800 meals for their neighbors in need!
ProfessionalMovers.com not only provided boxes for the collection, but they also volunteered to deliver all of the donations the Open Door Outreach Center, which serves local families facing food insecurity.
