Each month, we highlight one of the moving companies in our network for their extraordinary commitment to fighting hunger in their community. We are delighted to announce that Paxton Van Lines, an Atlas agent, is our Mover of the Month for March, 2016!
From March 7-April 1, Paxton held a food drive in Bethesda, MD to fight hunger in the area. The event was a huge success, and Paxton was able to reign in a total of 210 pounds of food to benefit Our Daily Bread Food Pantry!
Paxton's ongoing efforts also include hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for the for the less fortunate in Washington, D.C. When turnout was lower than expected last year, Paxton's volunteers wrapped plates and personally delivered meals to the homeless individuals throughout the city.
To date, Paxton has collected over 64,000 lbs of food for the Capital area, a huge help in a region where nearly 430,000 people, including one in seven children, suffer from food insecurity.
