A big congratulations to our moving partner KC Salley Relocation, an agent of United Van Lines, for transforming their annual barbecue into a wonderful food drive event last week, where they ended up collecting 707 pounds of food!
For the past three years, KC Salley has hosted a barbecue party in the parking lot of their headquarters, benefiting a charity near and dear to their hearts. This past month, their partnership with Move For Hunger and hunger awareness took centerstage: KC Salley encouraged attendees to bring non-perishables that were later donated to MANNA Houston Food Pantry.
With nearly 1 in 5 people in the Houston, TX area struggling with food insecurity, including over 300,000 children, the employees of KC Salley made a big impact to local neighbors in need. Their generous donation will allow MANNA Houston to provide 590 meals to struggling residents. Congrats KC Salley!
