Inspired by the generous spirit of the holiday season, Immediate Care, a medical walk in clinic in New Jersey, hosted a month long food drive at their locations in Hazlet and Toms River from November 3rd to December 3rd. With the help of Move For Hunger, Cassondra Hadel and the Immediate Care staff collected 160 pounds of food! That equals over 130 meals for those facing food insecurity in the community.
At the end of the drive, the Raine Foundation of Hazlet collected the food, prepared meals, and distributed them to members of the community in need.
A special thanks to Jersey Shore Moving & Storage, a National Van Line agent, who generously provided the supplies that made this drive possible!
In Monmouth County, there are over 80,000 individuals facing food insecurity. The staff at Move For Hunger applauds Immediate Care and their efforts to stomp this staggering statistic.
