This December, Baskin Robbins, in Wichita, KS served more than just ice cream! They served their community with a month long food drive! By January 1st, Karrie Meyers and her team at Baskin Robbins had collected 15 pounds of food! That is 12 1/2 meals for the food insecure individuals of the community.
A special thanks goes out to Daniel's Moving and Storage, Inc., an Atlas agent, in Wichita, KS who generously provided the supplies and transportation that set this drive in motion. Once the drive came to a close, Daniel's Moving and Storage delivered the collection of food to the Kansas Food Bank of Wichita to benefit those fighting hunger in Sedgwick County.
Unfortunately, in Sedgwick County, over 15% of the population is unsure of where their next meal is coming from, including 31,410 children. Fortunately, strong members of the community like the teams of Baskin Robbins and Daniel's Moving and Store are here to help! Move For Hunger extends a huge thank you and congratulations to everyone who was involved!
