Home Depot of Shorewood (IL) decided to spread some holiday cheer by organizing an Office Food Drive. The event took place from the beginning of
October until December 18th, just in time for Christmas! All staff members were encouraged to bring non-perishable canned goods that could be donated to families in their community.
Together the crew made an impact on their community by collected
490 lbs. of food, which converts to
408 meals that will benefit those who are victims to hunger.

Our friends at
Boyer-Rosene Moving & Storage, Inc, an agent of
Bekins, joined the fight against hunger by generously providing and delivering the donation boxes to the
Dupage Township Food Pantry, which now serves over 1000 families per month.

In Illinois a high number of 1,506,060 people are victims of food insecurity, including 1 in 6 children.
Thank you to Home Depot of Shorewood (IL) and to Boyer-Rosene Moving & Storage, Inc. for making a difference within your community!
