ERA First Advantage Realty decided to give the people of Newburg, Indiana more than shelter this past July. After being a Move For Hunger partner for only 3 months, the offices hosted a month-long food drive to benefit the 1 million people in Indiana who are at risk for hunger.
Local food banks struggle during summer months to stock their shelves with non-perishable food. Not only did ERA First Advantage Realty contribute to the cause, they raised awareness by hosting the event in July.
The event was held at the six locations of ERA First Advantage Realty in Newbury, Evansville, Princeton, Boonville, Henderson, and Jasper. The food drive produced 225 pounds of food, or 188 meals. The meals were picked up by Shelter Moving and Storage a local agent of Atlas Van Lines, and donated to the Tri-State Food Bank in Evansville Indiana. Hopefully, this food drive’s success will set a precedent for ERA Realty. Great job!
