Move For Hunger partnered with the Dallas Public Library to host a food drive in order to fight hunger in the Dallas community throughout March. Together, Move For Hunger and the Dallas Public Library were able to collect and distribute 2, 572 pounds of food to Dallas area food banks, which means over 2,143 people in the area will receive a meal.
760,000 Dallas residents are at risk to hunger due to low incomes. Over 40 percent of this population is made up of children.
A number of our partners from the Southwest Movers Association donated their resource to transport all the donations to food banks throughout Dallas.
A total of six moving companies, including Imlach Group, A-1 Freeman Moving & Storage , IMS Relocation, Nelson Westerberg , Fantastic Moves, and Texas A-1 Movers, Inc., donated their time and resources in order to contribute to the fight against hunger.
