Crown Relocations
of Houston just helped the students at LaFaye Johnson Lee Elementary School host a successful fall food drive. Students were encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items such as rice, pasta, and canned soup to help fight hunger in their community. Classes competed against each other to see who can collect the most food and the class that brought in the most non-perishable food items were rewarded with an ice cream party.
Together the classes collected nearly 1200 pounds of food and delivered it to the Houston Food Bank. That provided nearly 1000 meals for the community!
There are over 700,000 people struggling with hunger in Harris County, including 1 in 4 children. Thank you Crown Relocations and everyone at LaFaye Johnson Lee Elementary for recognizing the problem and working to make a difference!
