Motivated by the Thanksgiving spirit, Caitlin Bantel and the team at Crossfit Delirium were searching for ways to benefit their community this holiday season.
With the help of Move For Hunger, they hosted a food drive event at their gym in Eatontown, NJ beginning on November 4th. By January 1st, the team had collected 134 pounds of food! This is 112 meals for those suffering from food insecurity in their community.
Once the drive came to a close, Lowy's Moving Service, a Wheaton agent, generously delivered the collection of food to The Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
1 out of every 10 individuals in Monmouth County is unsure of where their next meal is coming from. The staff at Move For Hunger would like to applaud Crossfit Delirium, Lowy's, and everyone who was involved for trying to make a difference in their community. Additionally, we would like to thank everyone for their engagement in the cause.
