A great way to help during the holidays (and throughout the year) is to donate food, and the Bronxville Schools took that to the next level this past month.
Both the middle and high schools worked to collect more than 1,600 lbs, or about 1338 meals, in ten days this month, surpassing their total from last year by almost ten times!
The donations from the two schools went to the Food Bank for Westchester to feed the local community for Thanksgiving. Over 90,000 people in Westchester County suffer from food insecurity; it's with groups like the Bronxville Schools that we fight to reduce that staggering statistic.
Special thanks also goes out to Al's Moving who volunteered their time, resources, and manpower to help make this food drive a reality.
Amazing work, everyone!
