A young soccer player from New Jersey held a food drive at the 2016 Branchburg Travel Soccer Club Labor Day Tournament.
Players on the team and fans in attendance were asked to donate non-perishable food items at the snack stand at White Oak Park Fields. At the end of the two-day tournament, 80 pounds of food had been collected - that's the equivalent of 66 meals!
Budd Van Lines was kind enough to volunteer their time and resources to by pick up and deliver the donations to the Food Bank Network of Somerset County. One in 10 families in New Jersey rely on food banks to help put meals on the table, so every meal we can collect counts.
Thank you to everyone who made this food drive possible!
