The Element, an apartment community in Austin, Texas, hosted a successful Thanksgiving food drive from November 7-18. Residents and members of the local community collected 85 pounds of Thanksgiving-themed, non-perishable food items, such as instant potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce. That equates to about 70 meals for their neighbors in need.
Copper Palm Moving & Storage, a National Van Lines agent, generously volunteered its time and resources to deliver the donations to the Central Texas Food Bank.
Over 470,000 people in the greater Austin area struggle with food insecurity, including 1 in 4 children. Thank you to The Element and Copper Palm Moving & Storage for helping in the fight to end hunger!
