Altair Global & Move For Hunger Celebrate Nine Years of Partnership

August 21, 2025

At Move For Hunger, we believe lasting change is made through strong partnerships. As we enter our ninth year of partnership with Altair Global, a leading global mobility provider, we’re thrilled to celebrate an incredible milestone of over 1.1 million meals provided together to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

Since officially becoming a partner in 2016, Altair Global remains a dedicated leader in the fight against food insecurity. By leveraging their extensive transportation network, Altair has transported thousands of pounds of food across the country, making a powerful difference for communities in need.

Altair Global is known for their innovation, client care, and continuous improvement in relocation services. Their commitment to service extends far beyond business as it's rooted in compassion, community, and a drive to create meaningful impact. Their partnership with Move For Hunger exemplifies how the relocation industry can use its unique position to reduce food waste and fight hunger nationwide.

“This milestone reflects our team’s dedication and commitment to reducing waste and fighting hunger,” said Chad Sterling, Chief Executive Officer at Altair Global. “Our partnership with Move For Hunger and their efforts to make a positive impact nationwide enable us to find ways to make relocation services more sustainable and impactful.”

One of the standout moments each year? Altair Global’s annual Grinch-themed food drive has become a wonderful holiday tradition. In 2024, they hosted their fifth Grinch Food Drive, rallying support from their team, partners, and local community to collect 43,000 meals. Since launching this creative campaign, they’ve provided over 95,000 meals through the drive alone, turning holiday cheer into real help for food-insecure Texans.

“Altair Global has been an incredible partner for so many years now,” said Adam Lowy, Executive Director and Founder of Move For Hunger. “We couldn’t be more excited about everything we’ve accomplished together and what’s still to come.”

We’re grateful for Altair Global’s ongoing dedication to our mission. From food drives to transport support, they continue to show how movers can lead with purpose.

Inflation & food insecurity are on the rise

Cuts to SNAP benefits and inflation have had a devastating economic impact and filled the lines at food banks and pantries across the country. More than 47 million Americans including 1 in 5 children are struggling with food insecurity and do not know where their next meal is coming from.

For people of color and other minorities, the situation is even worse. Hunger disproportionately affects the Black population, the Latinx community, LGBTQ+ individuals, and more.

USDA TERMINATES FOOD SECURITY REPORT

September 22: The USDA announced termination of future Household Food Security Reports USDA, which had tracked hunger nationwide for nearly 30 years. The most recent data revealed that one in seven households — 47.4 million people, including 13.8 million children — were food insecure. For more than three decades, the report was been the gold standard for measuring whether a household lacks consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life. “Eliminating data collection strips away the evidence that proves these programs work, where investment is needed, and who is being left out,” Crystal FitzSimons, president, Food Research & Action Center said in a statement.
