All My Sons Moving & Storage Joins Forces with Move For Hunger to Fight Food Insecurity Nationwide

August 7, 2025

Move For Hunger is proud to welcome All My Sons Moving & Storage to our growing network of hunger-fighting partners! With an incredible 95 locations across the country, All My Sons is bringing their national footprint and deep community roots to the fight against food insecurity. This partnership alone is already helping provide 100,000 meals this year.

This new partnership marks a significant step forward in our mission to reduce food waste and deliver meals to communities in need. Every day, there are opportunities to rescue non-perishable food that might otherwise go to waste. By leveraging their moving crews and local teams, All My Sons is helping us turn transports into moments of impact.

“At All My Sons, we move families every day—and that includes moving compassion into action,” said Zack Turturici, Chief Marketing Officer for All My Sons Moving & Storage. “Partnering with Move For Hunger allows us to support communities across the country by making it easy for our customers to donate nonperishable food during their move. With 96 offices across 36 states, we’re proud to use our national reach to help fight food insecurity, one box at a time.”

The partnership couldn’t come at a more critical time. Nearly 47 million Americans experience food insecurity every year, while 38% of the food produced in the U.S. is wasted. Through programs like this, Move For Hunger tackles both issues at once.

With the support of All My Sons’ expansive network, we’re excited to scale our efforts, engage new communities, and make a greater impact together.

“We’re thrilled to have All My Sons on board,” said Adam Lowy, Executive Director and Founder of Move For Hunger. “Partnerships like this prove that everyday businesses can be powerful allies in the fight against hunger.”

We’re just getting started, and we can’t wait to see how much more we can do together.

Inflation & food insecurity are on the rise

Cuts to SNAP benefits and inflation have had a devastating economic impact and filled the lines at food banks and pantries across the country. More than 47 million Americans including 1 in 5 children are struggling with food insecurity and do not know where their next meal is coming from.

For people of color and other minorities, the situation is even worse. Hunger disproportionately affects the Black population, the Latinx community, LGBTQ+ individuals, and more.

USDA TERMINATES FOOD SECURITY REPORT

September 22: The USDA announced termination of future Household Food Security Reports USDA, which had tracked hunger nationwide for nearly 30 years. The most recent data revealed that one in seven households — 47.4 million people, including 13.8 million children — were food insecure. For more than three decades, the report was been the gold standard for measuring whether a household lacks consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life. “Eliminating data collection strips away the evidence that proves these programs work, where investment is needed, and who is being left out,” Crystal FitzSimons, president, Food Research & Action Center said in a statement.
