Alaska Terminals, an Atlas Van Lines agent, recently wrapped one of its moving trucks to raise awareness about the issue of food insecurity in the state and to encourage its customers to donate their food when they move.
Over 14% of Alaskans, including 1 in 5 children, struggle with food insecurity. To date, Alaska Terminals has delivered over 2,300 pounds of food to the Food Bank of Alaska – providing nearly 2,000 meals to its neighbors in need.
Move For Hunger presented Alaska Terminals with the truck wrap in recognition of being named the non-profit’s Atlas Van Lines Mover of the Year in 2015.
