We held our first-ever mini golf fundraising tournament, the Vanliner Open, at the American Moving & Storage Association’s annual convention from March 24-26 in Houston, TX. This event raised more than $27,000 to support our hunger relief and food rescue programs
The Vanliner Open featured a course built with the use of non-perishable food items, which were later donated to the Houston Food Bank. This unique course was set up right outside of the main exhibition hall, drawing in many players! There were no costs to participate, but we definitely kept score in order to determine our winners! Scott Buska of Acme Car Shipping was the winner of the tournament, and he took home a brand new Odyssey Golf putter! n second place was Helen Miracle, also of Acme Car Shipping, who received a TaylorMade putter.
