Steinway Moving & Storage hosted their 7th annual Fill-a-Truck Food Drive on March 7 from 10a.m. to 3p.m.
The event took place outside King Kullen’s Grocery store, and Steinway challenged shoppers to donate enough non-perishable items to fill their entire moving truck!. By the end of the day, nearly 400 lbs. of food had been donated, which is enough to provide 325 meals to New Yorkers facing hunger! Steinway Moving & Storage personally delivered all of the donations to the Island Harvest Food Bank.
More than 155,000 people on Long Island are food insecure, including 1 in 8 children. Thank you to everyone ate Steinway Move & Storage for your commitment to fighting hunger we look forward to doing it again next year!
