For the seventh year in a row, Paxton Van Lines, an Atlas Van Lines agent, volunteered to assist with the Britepaths Complete the Circle Foodraiser at Fairfax (VA) High School.
Complete the Circle is a public art project that raises awareness about hunger in the community. Participants bring donations of food that are used to create a "living painting" that can be photographed from the sky. Although it was a gray, rainy day, hundreds of volunteers showed up for the event and donated more than 10,000 lbs. of food -- that's enough to provide more than 8,300 meals!
Paxton Van Lines loaded all of the donations onto one of their trucks and delivered them to the Lorton Community Action Center, which provided assistance to nearly 2,000 people in Southeast Fairfax County last year.
Since 2011, Paxton Van Lines has delivered nearly 50,000 lbs. of food as a result of their partnership with Britepaths. Thank you to Bill, Freddy, Kevin, and the rest of the crew for making the commitment to help feed your neighbors in need!
