Mackie Moving Systems, an Atlas Van Lines agent based in Oshawa, Ontario, held a holiday food drive at Legends Arena, a local skating rink. from December 1-17. Thanks to the generosity of the staff, 255 pounds of food was donated, which will help to provide about 210 meals to their neighbors in need.
Mackie Moving Systems also volunteered to deliver all of the donations themselves to Feed The Need in Durham, a local food bank.
There were more than 335,000 people who were helped by food banks in Ontario during the past calendar year. Thank you to Mackie Moving Systems for taking the initiative to help fight food insecurity in Canada!
