Forest City is one of the newest members of the Move For Hunger Multi-Family Program. To kick-off our partnership, Forest City held food drives at five of their properties in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island from March 2-18.
Residents and staffers at 1111 Stratford (Stratford, CT), Hamel Mill Lofts (Haverhill, MA), Radian (Boston, MA), The River Lofts at Ashton Mill (Cumberland, RI), and Winchester Lofts (New Haven, CT) were encouraged to donate non-perishable food to help provide meals for their neighbors in need. The communities collected nearly 300 lbs. of food combined, which is enough to provide 245 meals!
Our friends from William B. Meyer and CORT Furniture Rental of Boston helped out by providing collection boxes AND volunteering to pick up and deliver all of the donations to the local food banks.
More than 41 million Americans, including 1 in 6 children, are food insecure. Thank you to Forest City and all of the participating communities for joining our fight to end hunger!
