Crest on Providence Apartments Donate 85 LBS. of Food

Crest on Providence Apartments, a Greystar property in Charlotte, NC, recently donated 10 bags of food to support our COVID-19 relief campaign!

As a member of our Multi-Family Apartment Program, residents at Crest on Providence Apartments all have the opportunity to donate their food when they move. When a resident gives notice that they will be moving out, the property management team at Crest on Providence provides them with a recyclable food collection bag. The residents are encouraged to place any unopened, non-perishable food that they would like to donate into the bag and leave it in the unit before they go. It's a simple, safe, and sustainable way to reduce food waste and fight hunger.

Our partners from Gentle Giant Moving Company in Charlotte volunteered to pick up the bags and delivered them all to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. A grand total of 85 lbs. of food was donated, which will provide 70 meals to families, children, seniors, and vulnerable communities during the COVID-19 crisis.

Food banks all across the country are facing an unprecedented demand right now.
