WHAT IS ARCANTECTURE?

ArCANtecture is an employee engagement event in which teams of 5-10 people work together to build a structure using only cans and/or boxes of non-perishable food.

THE BLUEPRINT

We determine the winning structures based on the following criteria.

 

Creativity
A house is fine, but who wouldn't prefer a castle with a moat instead?

Stability
If your building looks like it's about to topple over, it's not gonna pass inspection.

Quantity
Bigger is better. The more food you can incorporate into your design, the more likely you are to win!

CHOOSING A LOCATION

ArCANtecture is the perfect activity to be held in conjunction with a company-wide event, such as conferences, holiday parties, or leadership development meetings.

Each team will need a 12x12 area to bring their designs to life, so rooms with plenty of open space - like building lobbies, event halls, and conference rooms - are ideal.

Move For Hunger will help you plan the event, from start to finish, and have representatives from our staff on-site to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Move For Hunger Provides
  • Logistical assistance leading up to the event and on-site support during the day of the event
  • Ordering, delivery, and pick-up of all food & supplies, which then will be donated to a food bank of your choice
  • Flyers, banners, and images to share on social media
  • Post-event press release
  • T-shirts for all employees
  • Presentation about hunger & food waste by a member of Move For Hunger's staff
  • Post-event blog post featured on Move For Hunger's homepage, newsletters, and social media channels
