Each month, Move For Hunger chooses a community that displays a huge dedication to end hunger. This December, The View at Paris Mountain Apartments was awarded Community of the Month!
Earlier in 2021, The View at Paris Mountain Apartments, a Phillips Management property, located just minutes from downtown Greenville in South Carolina, donated 600lbs of food, equalling 500 meals, to Harvest Hope Food Bank in Greenville.
The View at Paris Mountains joined the Move For Hunger network in early 2021, and did a great job during their first food drive! We’re beyond excited to see how this property helps us in the fight against hunger throughout 2022.
“The View at Paris Mountain is located close to downtown where our community food bank and soup kitchens are located. As a community, we cannot ignore the lines of people just waiting to eat one meal,” said Nikki Hodges, Property Manager of The View at Paris Mountain. “The last two years during the pandemic have taught us not to take essential supplies for granted. We need to remember supply shortages are not only affecting us but also affecting our local food banks and homeless shelters.”
We’d also like to extend a thank you to HD Austin Movers for transporting the donations! HD Austin Movers joined our network in 2017 and has since helped transport more than 950 meals to food banks in South Carolina.
With more than 550,000 people facing hunger in South Carolina, with 1 in 7 children not knowing where their next meal will come from, every donation is needed!
