It’s amazing what one person can do.
Theresa Paulovic has been a strong advocate for Move For Hunger and the fight against hunger. Since 2015, she’s been hosting an annual food drive at her house and she wasn’t going to let the pandemic stop her from having it again.
On a Saturday in November, the people of Milford, Connecticut donated over 1,500 lbs of food, the highest amount ever for her food drive. They also donated $500 which combined with the food, helps provide 2,800 meals.
All of the food was transported to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County by Kaster Moving Co, an Atlas agent. There are 93,000 people in Fairfield County that are food insecure. That number across the country is expected to rise almost 50% due to the pandemic.
